Brief
A high-end interior design studio, relocated to a newly renovated five-floor Georgian listed building on Percy Street, London. They required a complete AV, lighting, shading and control solution that complemented their interior vision across all levels of the property. The project brought together a wide group of suppliers and manufacturers, with Albion Nord leading the design and specifying custom paints, finishes and materials throughout. The space needed to function as a working office for the design team while also operating as a premium show facility, presentation environment and client-focused interactive design space.
Solution
We delivered the complete lighting, shading, AV and control systems throughout the building, creating a showcase of what is possible when high-end technology is integrated sensitively into a beautifully designed environment like the one they have created.
Shading & Lighting: A fully integrated Crestron Home solution controlling DALI, phase dimming and switched lighting circuits. A mixture of Crestron Horizon, Cameo, and Universal in-wall dimmer 230V keypads have been installed throughout. To complement the Georgian heritage of the property, we also have a few bespoke Focus SB switch plates integrated via the Crestron via a C2N-UNI8IO. Motorised Roman blinds systems by Shadow EMEA were installed throughout.
Control Systems: As specialists in custom control platforms, we designed a system built around Crestron Home for reliability, simplicity and flexibility. Staff can operate lighting, shading and AV from touch panels, hard-button keypads or the Crestron Home app, giving them consistent control across all floors.
Boardroom & Presentation Areas: A premium Crestron video conferencing system paired with Sony displays. Phon Audio on-wall speakers and underfloor subwoofers were supplied in client-selected coatings and fabrics to match the interior palette. Crestron AirMedia enables wireless presentation throughout.
Building-Wide Audio: Sonance invisible speakers were used in design lounges, presentation spaces and work areas to maintain clean interior lines. Additional Phon Audio speakers and subwoofers with custom finishes were installed in the kitchen.
Intercom & Access: 2N intercom systems were integrated into the wider control platform, providing simple access and communication for staff and visitors.
Across all five floors, the technology remains discreet, intuitive and fully in keeping with Albion Nord’s design standards. The result is a refined studio, show space and client experience facility where aesthetics are preserved and the technology performs seamlessly in the background.
