Brief

Alisonn was appointed to upgrade a private apartment within The Bryanston, enhancing the existing technology to better reflect the client’s lifestyle and expectations.

The brief focused on elevating performance, usability, and integration throughout the apartment, while maintaining a refined aesthetic. Premium products were selected where they would make a meaningful difference to day-to-day experience, with particular attention given to control, audio quality, and visual presentation.

The upgraded systems needed to feel intuitive and cohesive, allowing the client to move effortlessly between music, television, and shared living spaces without the technology drawing attention to itself.

Solution

We delivered a carefully considered upgrade that brought together control, audio, video, and networking into a single, coherent system.

The Crestron control platform was enhanced with updated processing, wall-mounted touch panels, and iPad control, providing a consistent and intuitive interface throughout the apartment. Crestron DM-NVX 4K video distribution allows high-quality video to be shared seamlessly between rooms, while Crestron TSR-310 handheld remotes offer simple, familiar day-to-day control.

Audio performance was tailored to suit different spaces and listening preferences. Discreet Sonance Extreme Series in-ceiling speakers were integrated where a minimal visual presence was required, while premium standalone systems were introduced in key areas. These included Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 28 loudspeakers for high-impact listening, Bang & Olufsen BeoSound A5 speakers for flexible placement, and a Linn Majik LP12 turntable paired with an Uphorik phono stage for dedicated vinyl playback. Bluesound amplification provides high-quality music streaming as part of the wider system.

Television areas were upgraded with carefully selected displays and integrated audio solutions. Samsung Frame TVs were paired with Bang & Olufsen BeoSound Stage soundbars to balance aesthetics with sound quality, while a Bang & Olufsen BeoSound Theatre paired with an 83-inch OLED display delivers a more immersive audio-visual experience in the main living space.

A robust Ruckus Networks infrastructure underpins the entire system, ensuring reliable performance for control, streaming, and distributed video. Automated curtain tracks were integrated into the Crestron system, allowing lighting, shading, and media to work together as part of a unified, intuitive experience.

The result is an apartment that feels calm, considered, and effortless to use, where premium technology enhances daily living while remaining discreetly integrated into the interior.
